FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I commission a piece of artwork?
Simply place your order and I’ll be in touch to discuss your ideas and begin the process. I’ll guide you through each step from start to finish.

What can I commission?
You can commission a drawing of a place that holds special meaning to you — a home, church, wedding venue, landscape, beach hut, or coastal scene.

Do I need to provide a photograph?
You’re welcome to email your own photos, but it’s not essential. If you prefer, you can simply share the name and address of the location and I can source a suitable reference image for you.

Can I request changes during the process?
Yes. You’ll receive progress images at the pencil outline stage, where small adjustments can be made before the inking begins. After which no changes can be made.

Will I see progress updates?
That’s entirely up to you. Some clients enjoy seeing progress images throughout, while others prefer to wait for the final reveal.

How long does a commission take?
Each piece is carefully created by hand, so times can vary. I’ll let you know an estimated completion date when we begin and keep you updated along the way.  It is usually 7 working days from receipt of your photograph. Let me know if you have a specific deadline and I will do my best to meet it.

Is framing included?
Framing is available as an option with a choice of either Black, White or Oak Frame. Each artwork is professionally double mounted and carefully wrapped before dispatch.

How will my artwork be delivered?
Once complete, I’ll send you a photograph of the finished piece. Your artwork will then be securely packaged and sent via a tracked delivery service. I’ll notify you once it has been dispatched.

Is each artwork original?
Yes. Every commission is a one-of-a-kind, hand-drawn piece created especially for you.

Is this artwork suitable as a gift?
Absolutely. A commissioned piece makes a thoughtful and personal gift for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, house moves, and other special occasions. I'm happy to send the finished artwork directly to the recipient's address. I can include   a handwritten note. If you are unsure of what your recipient would choose as their special place, my vouchers make a great alternative.
